Delete Your Account

Last updated: January 2025

We're sorry to see you go. This page explains how to delete your Invoisee account and what happens to your data when you do.

Your local data stays private. Invoisee stores your invoices, clients, and business data locally on your device. This data is never uploaded to our servers and is not affected by account deletion.

How to Delete Your Account

You can request account deletion using one of the following methods:

Method 1: Delete from the App (Recommended)

  1. Open the Invoisee app on your device
  2. Go to Settings (gear icon)
  3. Tap on Account
  4. Scroll down and tap Delete Account
  5. Confirm your decision when prompted

Your account will be deleted immediately upon confirmation.

Method 2: Request via Email

  1. Send an email to [email protected]
  2. Use subject line: "Account Deletion Request"
  3. Include the email address associated with your Invoisee account
  4. We will verify your identity and process your request

We will process your request within 7 business days and send confirmation.

Data That Will Be Deleted

When you delete your Invoisee account, the following data stored on our servers will be permanently deleted:

Permanently Deleted

  • Account credentials - Your email and authentication data managed by Clerk
  • Subscription information - Your Pro subscription status and history
  • Account preferences - Any settings stored with your account
  • Support history - Previous support tickets and communications

Data That Stays on Your Device

Since Invoisee is an offline-first app, the following data is stored only on your device and is NOT affected by account deletion:

Local Device Data (Not Deleted)

  • Invoices - All your created invoices remain on your device
  • Client information - Your saved clients and their details
  • Business profile - Your company details and logo
  • App settings - Local preferences and configurations

To delete local data, uninstall the Invoisee app from your device.

Important

Deleting your account will revoke access to Pro features if you have an active subscription. Your local data will remain on your device but you will lose access to cloud features and will need to create a new account to use Pro features again.

Data Retention Period

Upon receiving your account deletion request:

  • Immediate deletion: Your account and associated data are deleted immediately when processed.
  • Backup systems: Data may persist in our backup systems for up to 30 days before being permanently purged.
  • Legal requirements: Some data may be retained longer if required by law (e.g., transaction records for tax purposes).

After the retention period, all your data will be permanently and irreversibly deleted from our systems.

Third-Party Service Data

Invoisee uses trusted third-party services. When you delete your account, we also request deletion of your data from:

  • Clerk - Authentication provider: Account credentials and authentication data are deleted.
  • RevenueCat - Subscription management: Subscription data is anonymized or deleted per their retention policy.

Payment information processed through Apple App Store or Google Play Store is managed by those platforms and subject to their respective privacy policies.
